About Us
In 1968 Pete Marino started by installing aluminum siding for several contractors in the Cleveland area. He learned his trade by working as a young teenager with his many uncles who were also in the same trade. He would always contact his uncles for any advise he could get from them and was always striving to improve on his mechanical techniques. He started Corridon Home Improvement in 1973 and began selling and installing his own jobs. The referrals and jobs began to multiply very quickly and he realized he was going to need help to keep up with the demand. His brother in law Tom Barrett joined Corridon in 1978 on a part time basis to help run the gutter installation end of the business and also worked with Pete installing siding jobs. The phone calls, setting appointments and office managing also multiplied, so Janice Marino took over these tasks and became an integral part of the business handling all the office tasks that needed to be handled on a full time basis.
In 1990 Tom became a full time member of Corridon Builders and Remodelers. During the next ten years the business grew and diversified by adding all facets of building and renovations, including additions, kitchens, bathrooms and almost every type of interior and exterior home renovation; hence the reason for the name change to Corridon Builders and Remodelers. In recent years the company branched out into heating and air conditioning business. The strictly referral business grew far beyond Pete's expectations. Pete always made sure the company and all involved kept up with the latest technology, tools and installation methods.
Pete and Tom have kept the same principals that Pete started the company with, to pay attention to details, to treat the customers like you would like to be treated and always try to leave the customer with more then they expected.
Over the years with their loyal staff of employees, and large family of customers, Pete, Janice and Tom have seen Corridon Builders and Remodelers grow into a company to be proud of.
